First, a huge thank you to everyone who showed up and made it to our launch party this past Friday, November 7th!!
It was definitely a night to remember - sort of.
Seriously—having all my people in one place, dancing, drinking, and toasting to BABA's next chapter??
Absolute magic.
Before we get to the launch party photos that you're hoping to spot yourself in, I don’t want you to miss what’s new at BABA on Withers.
As many of you know by now, baba cool williamsburg is now just BABA!
We're still very cool, but we figured if we had to say that - were we actually that cool to begin with?
But, don't worry - baba cool of Fort Greene is still your fave cafe with all of the baba cool classics, baba bowls, and of course - baba fries!!
Soooo....What’s New at BABA on Withers??
If you’ve been here before, you’ll notice some major changes at BABA on Withers and it's not just the burnt-orange bathroom / tinted window thing we have going on.
"BABA is now a cozy wine bar with just the right amount of buzz - perfect for divey drinks and small plates in their backyard."
Okay, so I do have to share some bad news for the early-birds.... we've updated our hours and are closed until 5 PM on weekdays....whomp-whomp :(
BUT, GOOD NEWS! We outgrew our training wheels and lost our curfew so on weekends we're now open until midnight for all the drinking, dancing, and late-night dining that your little brooklyn-heart desires <3333
and for all the brunch-goers, on weekends we still brunch haaard - bright and early from 10 AM until 4PM. Once 4pm hits, the lights dim and the party begins.
OH ALSO, we now have Happy Hour EVERY. DAY. from 5pm-7pm b/c why not 😘
P.S. we're launching a sick late-night happy hour - you'll just have to check back in for the deets
Moving Past our Cafe Roots, We've Grown into a Wine & Cocktail Bar for Hang-Outs and Hangovers
Our New Night Menu is Made to be shared with your table...or not (we won't tell)
We revamped and relaunched the menus with Marseille-inspired small-plates, killer natural wines, and cheeky cocktails that pack a punch.
Think French coastal snacks with a Brooklyn accent: knows how to keep the party going without weighing you down.
I'll share some of my recent faves that you gotta try.
Cocktails: Sorry to all the Jean-Claude fans, but we re-did the drink menu too lol
Tall Glass of Water with union mezcal, bergamot cordial, and a twist of lime
Natty Daddy with dill-infused gin, genepy, and green peppercorn
Natural Wines: by the glass or by carafe (50 cl) our wines are killer
Poc a Poc is an orange with a zing from Seneca Lake, NY
Tentations is a rosé with some sweetness from France
Late-Night Bites: Light & classy before a not-so classy night out
Bouillabaise Toast with rock shrimp, rouille, & fennel confit
Duck Leg Confit with pear mostarda, roasted fairytale eggplant, & wild watercress
We realized that because we used to close-up shop earlier than our neighbors - it was just too little easy to walk past us if you've had few too many at Union Pool.
But that was then and this is now!
We’re right on Withers Street, hence the name....BABA on Withers lol
BABA is tucked in between classic spots like Bamonte’s, Night of Joy, Reunion, Mr. Melo and just a block away from the Lorimer L-stop on Metropolitan Ave -- next to the recently reopened Kellogg's Diner.
So, if you're bopping around next weekend and see our infamous black and white stripes - take a quick detour and come say hi to the all new BABA.
This re-launch is just the beginning. We’re planning to keep things suppppperrr confidential with our pop-ups, parties, special events, & bang-out birthdays. So you'll just have to come back here to find out what's next.
Okayyyyy fine here are the pics from the launch party plssss just tag @BABAonWithers on Insta / Facebook if you post any or all hehe thanks sm :)
